September Calls to Action

Below are summarized calls to action from the TAL September newsletter. For full details and context, read the full newsletter on Substack.

Join the Anti-Carceral Campaign

TAL is launching a campaign to mobilize architectural workers against the prison industrial complex, ICE, and carceral architecture. We’re building capacity to refuse carceral projects, pressure firms and professional organizations to reject this work, and support alternatives.

Train your Skills to Win

TAL members are forming a cohort for UC Berkeley’s Skills to Win training (six sessions, Oct–Nov 2025). Cost: $75.

Write with Us

Take TAL Toronto Surveys

Caregivers Survey

Open to all architectural workers. Share your experiences balancing caregiving responsibilities with restrictive firm cultures and workplace policies. TAL-TO will use responses to spark discussion and publish a zine for caregivers.

Workplace Transparency Survey

For architectural/design workers in Canada (especially Toronto). Contribute to an anonymous dataset on workplace conditions to strengthen solidarity and advocacy in Canadian offices.
